Bookshelf

One of my New Year's Resolutions is to read more. I'm working on my book list: 97 Books To Read in 2010, keeping track using Shelfari and most books come from the library. In January I read 4 books. In February, it was only 2 - but at least I liked both of them.

I read The Lost Symbol (Dan Brown) and The Confessions of Edward Day (Valerie Martin) and both were fantastic. Dan Brown wrote Angels & Demons and The DaVinci Code - and Lost Symbol is a similar mystery - and quite enthralling.

The Confessions of Edward Day is about the lives of young actors struggling to get ahead in the New York theater scene in the 1970s. It draws us into their personal stories of love, ambition & sometimes desolation. This is not something I would have picked up, but I'm so glad I did because it was quite good and I enjoyed getting swept up in the story.
