- What I Wore
My ideal comfortable outfit is a loose dress and a cardigan or sweater – I'm never warm enough. Something like what I put together for today.
Details: Dress: Marshalls; Cardigan: JCPenny; Shoes: DSW.
I had to make a quick run to the mall to get an outfit for my mom – I'm still on a spending freeze for myself though. I wanted to keep following the Fab Finds Under 50: March Inspiration Calendar which called for layering a dress today. I feel like I might have copped out a bit since the only layer is the cardigan (and a coat), but that's how it is today.
It's just one of those days where I don't want to do anything much except drink my Theraflu tea and sleep. Oh – I hit up Macy's to get a dress for my mom who has an afternoon soiree in a few days. I didn't have my camera, but I took some pics with my phone of the potential – my mom likes bright colors!
Black + white print dress with pink belt.
Fuchsia-ish / burgundy-ish dress.
Cream with gold textured details.
Black dress with lace + gold detail on the top.
I think I like the #3 the best (cream with gold) & #1 second best. She's for #1 & #2 – but that's just from my description over the phone (just emailed her the pictures).
oh a dress that looks like a skirt, so much versatility there. It is comfy but still pulled together cute. I also like the 3rd dress best.
wow, i saw a dress JUST like that in pacsun that had a colored pattern on the bottom that i absolutely fell in love with. the third is definitely the most elegant. i like the 4th too but it's almost spring and everyone is dying for some lighter colors (at least i am haha)!
Yup I agree with your definition of a comfortable outfit as well, and I don't suppose leggings count as another layer? XDD
I love the three-toned dress you have on. I usually don't go for it but you wear it well; especially love how you match it with your headband :)
Also, the last gold embroidery detailed dress is lovely! I hope your mum changes her mind when she sees it!
Thanks everyone - my mom chose #1 for the occasion, but I'm getting #3 for her too as a surprise.
Jersey dresses and cardigans are my favorite comfy outfits too.
