Details: Westin Hotel, Napa CA
As I struggle not to be late for today's festivities here in Napa, I might not get to taking an outfit shot as I'll be gone all day (I think this is the first time pants would make an appearance on this blog). So here are some pictures from yesterday.

Details: Me in the hotel room (wearing this dress) - it's a fantastic suite with a balcony right in front of where you get on the Wine Train (no I have not yet gone on it).

In my room, after I went for a walk, I came back to find a goodie bag.

Included in it were some FANTASTIC cookbooks (I won't say which one I'm most excited about).

After a short nap, it was time for dinner at La Toque.

1st & 2nd course: (1) Warm Endive and Asparagus Salad with Crispy Pork Confit and Walnut Vinaigrette and (2) Celery Root Bisque with Walnut Gnocchis.

Of course, wine was paired with every course, we're in Napa after all.

(notice the walnuts on the table which is a clue as to who is sponsoring this event).
Main Course: Central Coast Swordfish served like Pepper Steak with Creamed Spinach and a Baby Baked Potato. Others had Range Fed Buffalo with it's own "Pot Roast as a Terrine".

Dessert: Local Wildflower Honey Parfait with Walnut Ice Cream (so delicious).
The pictures do not do the food justice - my apologies to chef Ken Frank - but I really wanted to capture a once in a lifetime experience.
Mmmmm.... Good food is one of life's chief delights.
Glad you're having this opportunity to indulge. Savor it!
