Merry Christmas – Happy Holidays – or just have a Fantastic day!!!
It’s hard to give books as gifts as people have such different tastes, but for my friends who I know well, here’s what I would pick for them based on books that I read in 2011.
I’ve really been working on organizing life and work over the last few weeks – and so far so good! What has been working for me is going to the cafe in Barnes & Noble once a week and really zoning out and preparing blog posts & grading papers – although writing blog post is so much more fun than going through student’s chemical equations! One thing I worried about – would the employees give me the stink eye for being there for hours?! It NEVER happens – and I’m noticing that there are a few other “regulars” there too, that go to study and what-not. So shout out to Barnes & Noble for having such an awesome environment – and free wifi!
I wish I had kept better track of the places visited during my reading excursions during the year, and I also wish there had been more diversity in my book choices; but there’s always next year.
