{Bloggers Recommend} Favorite Books With Surprise Endings
Jen @ Jen's Book Thoughts
The more I read crime fiction the harder it's getting for an author to truly surprise me with an ending, but there have been a few recently. My favorite overall would have to be The Two Death of Daniel Hayes by Marcus Sakey. He does a stellar job of surprising the reader at several turns in the plot, with an exceptional grand finale at the end. {Review}

To Serve a King by Donna Russo Morin. This is a deliciously decadent novel about a female spy who works for Henry VIII in the court of his arch-rival, Francois I. I loved reading about the French court during the reign of the Tudors. Ms. Morin is a born storyteller and To Serve a King is full of excellent period detail, compelling characters, romance, suspense, and an ending I never saw coming! I thought I had it all figured out - but I didn't. {Review}

Paradise by Jill S. Alexander. The ending was devastating and was completely unexpected ... but, man, I LOVE this book! That ending killed me though. {Goodreads Reviews}
Molli @ Once Upon A Prologue
Tempest by Julie Cross. The main character, Jackson, had to make a REALLY hard choice in the end. I should have predicted it, but I think I was so hoping for the ending to go in a different direction that I just refused to see what was happening. It was definitely a bittersweet, sad yet hopeful ending. {Review}
Have you read any books lately where you were surprised by the ending?

Great post. The more books I read, the more predictable I find them. It's been hard finding books that really surprise me.
