Weekly Book Chat About Popularity

From TGIF Reads
Q. Most Popular: What blog post has gotten the most comments/activity on your blog this year?
My blog is just about 2 months old, so most of the comments have come because of the comments I leave on other blogs and the memes I participate in. So, instead of discussing which post got the most comments - let me mention one thing that I'm proud of starting on this site, and that's the Bloggers Recommend series, which started at the beginning of December (and which will appear every Wednesday).

1 question - 5 answers from 5 different bloggers. I'm especially thankful to the AWESOME bloggers who have agreed to participate, even though I'm just a newbie!

Q. Friday Recommends - Pick a book that you've read, and have enjoyed enough to recommend to other readers.
In keeping with the theme of "popularity" I'm choosing a book (or rather books) that's extremely popular - and definitely deserving of all the hype and attention in my opinion - The Hunger Games Series, Suzanne Collins. I've talked about these books enough already, and the only thing more I could add is GET THEM if you haven't already. I just discussed the series in 10 Book Series or Book Pairs To Give As Gifts in 2011.

Q. When you've read a book, what do you do with it? (Keep it, give it away, donate it, sell it, swap it..?)
I don't buy books much anymore, so the few that I do buy are special enough for me to keep. If I've won a book or even books I buy for the kids - I eventually either donate them to the library or give them away.

Book Coveting for 2012 (via Book Journey). Are you thinking about 2012 book releases yet? I'm NOT. I don't start reading books published in the current year until about June or July. The first half of the year is usually reserved for reading books from Watching the Best Books of 2011 Lists.

Mocha Girls Read is 4 months old and we got over 400 hits on the Oct. 30 post about scary books and quotes. Go figure! LOL!! This year my recommendation would be The Help by far. And I swap books because my bookcase is packed.
Congrats on the beautiful site!
