Q. Reading Resolutions: What are some of your reading goals for the new year?
Read More Books from Countries Other Than the One in Which I Currently Live
Looking back at My Reading World in 2011, I read 27 (of 93) books set internationally (i.e. not in the USA) - but of those, 11 were set in England. I plan to do much better in 2012, especially because I'm hosting The 2014 Winter Olympics Reading Challenge.

Q. Friday Recommends - Pick a book that you've read, and have enjoyed enough to recommend to other readers.
A. To keep with the theme of reading internationally, one of my favorite books read in 2011 was The Marriage Bureau for Rich People by Farahad Zama (set in India). It's a cute, fun, "feel good" book about Mr. Ali and the clients of his marriage bureau. This book made me smile - and if that's not the mark of a good book, I don't know what is! Zama is on my list of 10 Authors I Read in 2011 That I Want to Read More From in 2012.

Don't Become a Reading Robot (@ Sophisticated Dorkiness). This is my mantra for this year. No goal to read xx books or xx pages. No advanced reader copies necessary - thanks to an excellent local library system.
What's your main "reading resolution" for 2012?

Great goal! I really want to read more books set in Australia - can't remember the last time I read a book that was set there.
Have a great Friday! :)
