Wild Salmon and Olives Salad

Food is a big part of my life - I studied it, I teach it and, of course, I eat it (sometimes way too much of it). So consider this a weekly share of a salad (or soup or ... something healthy) that I'm loving at the moment - plus the book that currently has me hostage.

Salmon & Olives Salad {Eating} Let The Right One In {Reading}

Consuming: Salmon and Olives Salad - made with lettuce, olives, almonds, bell peppers & Wild Alaskan Salmon.

Wild Salmon and Olives Salad

Reading: Let The Right One In, John Ajvide Lidqvist. I'm on page 351/472 ... at first, this book didn't seem all that scary, but not that I'm about 3/4 of the way through, I've come across some really gross parts, and it's weirded me out quite a bit.

Thinking: I'm super excited for Bloggiesta this weekend ... I'm hosting a topic on "discussion post ideas" for your blog - my first time doing anything like this, and I'm super nervous. As for tweaks to my own blog, I plan to fix links that got broken during a recent software upgrade, and make a page that lists all the books that have been discussed here on Girlxoxo.com - searchable by author last name, and book title.

Ooh, this is a good book! I've listened to the audiobook, and the narrator did a fabulous job (he's also the narrator of Sleep, Pale Sister by Joanne Harris, which is creeping me out...).

Kudos to you for eating something while reading the book ;-) It does get weirder and weirder doesn't it?

Have you watched the movie(s?) I recommend the Swedish adaptation, it's truest to the book. The American one is pretty good though, it's a good attempt at art house.

I've not read these, but I've seen the movies, and I imagine it would be a haunting book!

... and omg... must make that salad *drool*

Salad looks yummy! Haven't read that book but I saw a movie version and it was definitely creepy! :D

That salad sounds reaaally good! I have an interlibrary loan copy of this book (Becky & I are reviewing horror books throughout October), but I don't think I'll have a chance to get to it before it's due back. :( I'll definitely be checking out your post for Bloggiesta! It definitely sounds like something Becky & I could learn from.

Yummy salad! Well, not the olives - I don't like olives. But salmon and salad look tasty!

Food looks good, though by that summary I hope the book didn't put you off eating! A list of all the book posts is a good idea, and discussion post ideas can be hard to think of so a post about that in itself sounds great.
