How has your week been? Fall is here, and the weather has turned cool for much of the day where I live. It’s the best weather to run in – even I have to admit this and I’m usually all about summer!
ONE+ Fall is when I really love to cozy up with books, especially thrillers. I can co-sign on the awesomeness of many of the books on 19 Creepy Halloween Thriller Books to Read Now and BOOks That Go BUMP in the Night: Spooky Season Recommendations From Our Booksellers.
TWO+ And why do the infidels have to infiltrate our bookish World with this disgraceful behavior – How Extortion Scams and Review Bombing Trolls Turned Goodreads Into Many Authors’ Worst Nightmare.
THREE+ While I’m not really trying to add any more books to my reading list … thank you NPR for crowd-sourcing this list of Your 50 Favorite Sci-Fi And Fantasy Books Of The Past Decade. A solid list with some of my faves like The Dead Djinn Universe (series), P. Djeli Clarke but there’s also a few books there that I disliked intensely – I’m looking at you A Stranger in Olandria, Sofia Samataar.
FOUR+ Hispanic Heritage Month runs from Sep. 15 – Oct. 15. Here’s a list of Books to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month 2021 and A Reading List of New Books to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.
FIVE+ Because I’m the guru of searching for stuff, I found this interesting – The Most Helpful Google Search Modifiers Everyone Should Be Using
SIX+ Are you saving stuff to Instagram Collections? I love this feature! My collections are quite banal – braid hairstyles, nail design, exercises (upper body, lower body etc).
SEVEN+ I shared my September Favorites earlier this week – but I’m adding to that – Pumpkin Coffee from Dunkin’. I had my first one for the year this week and it was everything! So sorry for you if you don’t have a Dunkin’ Donuts near you (I’ve been there – and it sucked).
EIGHT+ Seriously, Fall has completely snuck up on me and I’m not quite ready yet. This weekend though, I’m going to get the house all cozy with Fall touches.
NINE+ You know you’re a grown-up when one of the good things about returning home from vacation is that you can get back into a routine. I was on point this week with getting in my exercises – check this for inspiration – A Nurse, a Pandemic, and a Success Story.
Have you shifted your mindset to Fall yet?
