We’re trying a (sort of) new feature in 2022, where we check in weekly with a few things from our week. It may be what we did, saw, read, ate, experienced, planned, shared … so let’s get to it. Kim and I will be alternating weeks, so for this week, it’s Tanya Patrice here!
For the first week of the year, I’m linking up with Anne in Residence and sharing what I’m anticipating, organizing, reading, resolving, and scheduling.
+ Anticipating – The final series of Ozark’s. The first “half” of the season will be out on Jan. 21st and the 2nd half will be released later this year … whyyyyy?!! This was on my list of Favorite TV Series watched in 2021 and it ended in a cliff-hanger.
+ Organizing – You know that one draw that just keeps collecting junk in your bathroom? No … it’s just me? Well, I decided to spend a snow day last week organizing it. It didn’t even take long – I just put everything in pouches separating into hair stuff, makeup stuff, beauty supplies. I might still have too much stuff in it, but didn’t feel like throwing anything away – that’s for another day.
+ Reading – The first book I dived into this year is Riot Baby, Tochi Onyebuchi. It’s been on my reading list for a while and it’s perfect for the January Book Award Reading Challenge because it won a 2021 Alex Award.
+ Resolving – I shared my resolutions on Monday – Functional #PlanWithMe – 2022 Goal Setting. I have 4 things I want to do – maintain my fitness routine, eat better, be better at staying connected with friends and family, an learn Spanish.
+ Scheduling – This week, and this month I’m working on scheduling my travel for the first 3 months of 2022. So far, I’m headed to Pennsylvania, Maryland and Arkansas.
I feel like January is a month for making plans – what are some of yours? What are you reading?

I’ve been organizing things this month too. I haven’t gotten to the bathroom yet though — I’m doing a challenge and it’s focused on the kitchen thus far.

Kitchen is next up on my list. I have so many dishes and things we never use. Time to declutter.

I need to continue watching Ozark. I have only watched the first season. My whole bathroom seems to be one unorganized junk drawer (cause it’s so small), haha! I am currently reading Good Girl, Bad Blood by Holly Jackson. I try to schedule my life one month at a time. Makes it easier, even though we do have big plans in the future that are planned for.

My husband loves Ozarks, but I was never really able to get into it. Also, going to have to add Riot Baby to my reading list. #Currently

Oh my gosh. I love that we both had it in our heads to organize the bathroom drawers!
