It’s been quite an anxiety inducing week in the news. One of my favorite song lines is “Gratitude is a must” so I remain thankful and appreciative of this life we’re living. On to a few things from this week.
watching+ My son swam this week in the NAIA National Swimming & Diving Championship in Columbus, GA. It was so awesome to go see him continue to compete in something he loves. And it was a pretty nice vacation too. I completely unplugged from work and just enjoyed spending time with the family.
reading+ I spent a lot of time reading. I crossed off “Award Winner” on the #WickedGoodReads Bingo with The Fisherman, John Langan. Ooh this was creepy – and do yourself and listen to the audiobook – you will get the “horror vibes” amplified. I’m now reading the newly released horror creeper Echo, Thomas Olde Heuvelt which is also brilliant so far.
tracker spreads+ I already shared my 2022 Reading Journal Tracker Spreads but I also decided to do a few more for workouts / fitness as well. I did one for January challenges – and then one for the upcoming March.
running+ Since I was in a different state than my own, I made time to run outside and will probably start tracking how many states / countries I run in this year. Might be a little … might be a lot. When I’m looking for running routes in a new place – I typically search through the Great Runs site, look at the routes for past 5Ks and check out the local area run clubs.
killing time+ We’ve had several home showings over the past 2 weeks, which means we have to leave for about an hour each time. We’ve been to Panera Bread, coffee shops (my hubs hates the smell of coffee so I tend to go to these solo), and this week, I went to have my nails done.
Where would you go – in the cold freezing winter – if you had an hour to yourself?

The library, it has a small cafe and I could curl up on a lounge with a book!
