Every year, we start over with our “to be read” (TBR) list. We look through what we wanted to read last year and didn’t get to (our last chack-in was Our Reading (I)nbox Mid-Year Reading List Update) … and decide what we still want to read – and what we’ll have to put aside. Here are the books that we still want to get to in 2022.

From all the way back to our Spring 2022 Reading List I only got to 2 of the 4 books and I still want to read the other 2, Our Lady of Mysterious Ailments, T.L Huchu and Upgrade, Blake Crouch – which I’ll use for July’s Monthly Motif Reading Challenge – “one word title”.
I haven’t read any of the 3 books on last June’s Bookish (E)nvy – 5 Books Everyone Is Talking About That We Haven’t Read Yet But Want To and I still want to read them … before June rolls back around again. The Diamond Eye, Kate Quinn is 435 pages, so that qualifies or the April Monthly Motif Reading Challenge. The other 2 books are Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt and Hidden Pictures, Jason Rekulak.
On my #20BooksofSummer I didn’t get to Hench, Natalie Zina Walschotts which I still want to read. Finally, there’s 3 books on this Winter’s reading list that I’m working through right now – Fairy Tale, Stephen King – Carrie Soto is Back, Taylor Jenkins Reid and The Thousand Crimes of Ming Tsu, Tom Lin.

Last year I decided to give Book of the Month a try. I liked the book selections but I was absolute crap at reading the books when they came in. I, so far, have only read one BOTM book. I’m still interested in the other ones that I chose though so I hope to get to them in 2023. I’m still trying to see if I can use any of them for challenge reads.
From last June’s Bookish (E)nvy – 5 Books Everyone Is Talking About That We Haven’t Read Yet But Want To I still haven’t read Daughter of the Moon Goddess, Sue Lynn Tan. I’m still interested in this book and used an Audible credit to get the audiobook to listen to sometime this spring.
I still haven’t read any of the books from this Winter’s reading list – Breathless, Amy McCulloch; Winter’s Orbit, Everina Maxwell; and A Flicker in the Dark, Stacy Willingham. Still really excited about all of these.
