In case ya don’t know, smoothies are my thing and green smoothies especially are now a regular habit. One of the easiest, quickest ones we’ve been making lately is a blueberry, strawberry and banana combo. It’s refreshing and simple to do.
Blueberry Banana and Strawberry Smoothie

What makes it so easy is using frozen fruits – although you definitely don’t have to … but I did. I used a bag of mixed strawberry and banana – and another bag of frozen blueberries.
Ingredients
- 1.4c frozen blueberries
- 1c frozen banana and strawberry mix
- 1/4c freshly sliced bananas
- 1c spinach
- 1 Tbsp Chia Seeds
- 3/4c water
To make it – put all the ingredients in a blender … the frozen fruits followed by freshly sliced bananas and spinach. Then add water and blend. My blender of choice for smoothies is the Oster MyBlend Blender which is a single serve blender where a sports bottle attachment.

Blend for a few minutes and taste. The beauty of these easy smoothie recipes is that they are easily adjusted to your taste. If it’s too thick – add some more water – if it’s not sweet enough, add a little bit more banana.

Blueberries are an anti-oxidant powerhouse and strawberries are an excellent source of vitamin C, so in just a few minutes and you’ll have an antioxidant rich power drink. And the chia seeds add fiber + help thicken. I’ll take that!
