Here are our recommendations for what you should read, eat (or drink) and watch this month … and we’d love to hear yours!
Read
✤ Tanya … A few weeks ago, I mentioned that I Have an Audiobook Listening Hangover From Children of Blood and Bone – so that’s my recommended read for you. The audiobook narration is amazing, but so is the story and the depth of the characters – which is my favorite thing about the book. The world building was also pretty spectacular too.

✤ Kim … I finished The Woman in The Window, A.J. Finn not too long ago and I posted my thoughts on Instagram. If you read The Girl On The Train and enjoyed it, this is the book for you.

Eat … or Drink
✤ Tanya … Lately, I’ve been feeling Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling– both 2016 and 2015 are still widely available. Tasting notes from their website, “The wine offers crisp apple aromas and flavors with subtle mineral notes. This is our “everyday Riesling” that is a pleasure to drink and easy to match with a variety of foods.”
Are you a milk chocolate or dark chocolate lover? I’m not a huge fan of sweets, but lately I’ve been obsessed with Godiva Blood Orange Chocolate Bar. Have you tried it before? What’s your favorite chocolate + flavor combination … or are you a purist?
✤ Kim … I love Mexican food. Chips and salsa are my jam. Of course I’ve had tomatillo salsa before but I recently picked up some Rojo Tomatillo Avocado salsa at Costco and I’ve been inhaling it ever since. I used it to make Baked Chicken Tacos the other night for dinner and it pretty much took ordinary tacos up ten notches.
So… red salsa or green salsa or are you a guacamole fan? I’ll take them all, personally.
Watch
✤ Tanya … Returning to TV at the end of April is Season 3 of Into the Badlands. This show is the CRAZIEST action and fight scenes. If you haven’t been following it – do yourself a favor and figure out how to binge watch seasons 1 and 2 first. But be warned – it’s bloody and gory … pretty damn violent – so be sure you’re into that kind of action.
✤ Kim … We are still slowly working out way through The Magicians on Netflix. The last two movies we saw were Murder On The Orient Express and Bladerunner 2049. The new Poirot didn’t quite win me over like the original but I did like it. Bladerunner was interesting … and good … and long. It took us three nights to finish it (kids, lol.) I’ve never seen the original so now I’m curious.
