Winter Cozy – Books and Tea

It’s currently the middle of Winter here in the mid-West Unites States. The the temperature is in the teens and we’ve already had a few weekends of snow days … the perfect opportunity to sit inside and curl up with a book. In fact, that’s just what I’ve done quite a few times, so don’t judge me if there’s a few Christmas related items throughout the house – even though it’s February … I’ll get around to removing them soon. A steaming mug of tea is my companion on these snowy, book-filled days.

Brew La La Organic Moroccan Mint Tea

I have no idea how Brew La La Organic Moroccan Mint Green Tea got into my house – I suspect my brother left the tin when he was visiting – but it’s subtle minty flavor means that almost everyone has been partaking – and it’s almost all gone now! I’ve been known to add a splash of Caramel Nut Pod – an unsweetened dairy free creamer made with almond and coconut milk, or sometimes just a little bit of Manukkah honey.

The Huntress

Good Earth Sweet & Spicy Tea is a long time favorite of mine. It’s a bold, complex, flavorful tea that contains rooibos, chicory root, natural flavor, rosehip, cinnamon, lemongrass, peppermint, chamomile, anise seed, ginger root, orange oil and orange peel.

Good Earth Sweet and Spicy Tea

There’s nothing subtle about this tea and I especially love to have it mid-morning when I need a bit of a pick-me-up.

Booked Out with Tea

And, of course, I cannot leave out Celestial Seasoning Peppermint Herbal Tea. This is a perennial favorite that’s kept around whether it’s Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall. The only ingredient in this tea is peppermint, and that’s just the reason we love it.

Peppermint Tea

I tend to savor a cup of this in the evenings. This is the time when I turn my attention to a few chapters of a non-fiction book. Lately, it’s been books about developing habits, and productivity.
